Convey Mashabane was employed to Housekeeping on 01 February 2014. Prior to joining Ingwelala, Convey worked as a brand promoter at the Boxer Super Trade in Bushbuckridge.
Her family home is in the nearby Thulamahashe community, and as an only child, Convey was raised by her mother and grandmother, graduating Grade 12 at school. Convey studied at a tertiary College to improve her communication and listening skills, learning the art of assisting at Help Desks.
Convey is married to Penny Shiloane, a Field Ranger serving in the Camdeboo National Park in the Karoo. Together they have an eight-year-old school going son, Vuyo. Penny is an avid Orlando Pirates supporter! Convey expressed her gratitude for her Ingwelala employment as her monthly income supports many family members, including several younger cousins.
In the work environment Convey enjoys meeting different people, Members and their guests. In her personal time Convey is interested in travel and enjoys seeing new places, especially Nature Reserves, she loves seeing different animals and trees that occur outside of the Lowveld. For example, when Convey visited he husband’s work place in Camdeboo, she appreciated seeing springbok, which do not occur in the Lowveld. Her favorite animals are the big cats, lions and leopards, as they are iconic to the Big Five. Tree wise, Convey’s favorite is the Marula, because of its many consumptive uses such as making tasty beer and jam.
