A more substantial temporary bypass has been created at the main causeway on the Argyle Road by the Control Gate Company.
The use of this bypass is at your own risk and is still subject to the vehicle weight restrictions as set out for the sand-seal road by the Control Gate Company.
The conservation team used this opportunity to move and strengthen the electric fencing in the river crossing to accommodate for the wider bypass, and, assisted by the WBHO TLB and operator, to re-open the culverts of the causeway, allowing for better water drainage and flow.
