Following on from the addition of the paving at the Ingwelala entrance gate, we have begun the process of modernising the overall feel and aesthetic appeal of our entrance.
Included in this is the design and addition of new garden beds on either side of the main entrance building and gates. The addition of the garden beds will aid in erosion control and protect the edges of the new paving and the earth mat surrounding the electrified fence, as well as serving the purpose of modernising and improving the overall look and feel.
While progress is still ongoing, we are incredibly pleased with the results already. We will continue to make additions to these gardens, using indigenous species only, and plan to finish the rockery within the coming weeks.
Further, we have removed multiple invasive Kalanchoe species from within the existing garden beds surrounding our entrance gate, trimmed and thinned out overgrown plants to create better visibility and appeal, and have trimmed the large Knobthorn tree to create more open space for game viewers to pass safely underneath.
