Elizabeth Ndlovu has taken retirement at normal retirement age (65 years), after serving Ingwelala loyally for 27 years.
Elizabeth joined the Ingwelala Housekeeping Team as a permanent employee on 8 December 1991. She worked mainly in management staff houses since commencing at Ingwelala. Elizabeth also assisted in the Laundry and with Members’ bungalow cleans during periods of high occupation.
Elizabeth has lived in the area all her life, having been born in the Timbavati. After marrying she had one child, who sadly passed away some years ago. There are five adult grandchildren – one girl and four boys, two of whom work in the mining industry.
Elizabeth said she was extremely happy at Ingwelala and enjoyed working in the Housekeeping Team, where she got on very well with her colleagues and will continue to have a strong bond with them.
Please join me in wishing Elizabeth all the very best for her well-earned retirement, wishing her relaxing days with excellent health through the golden years ahead.
It was wonderful that at month-end we were able to host an informal farewell function for Elizabeth. Thank you to all the staff who assisted with the catering, and to those staff who assisted Elizabeth with moving her belongings to her permanent residence in Acornhoek.
