Ingwelala offers a variety of day hides and bomas, as well as guided walks to enrich your bush experience:

Argyle Boma

This boma, overlooking the Shlaralumi River with magnificent sunsets, is a ten minute drive from the main camp.

It is a popular venue for sun-downers or an "off-bungalow" braai, but has no water.

It also boasts a "long-drop" loo with a spectacular view!

Cost: R192,00 - per afternoon/evening braai, incl. firewood.

Buffelsbed Hide

Built by a team of five Architectural and Engineering students, this  multi-level hide overlooks a water hole which is well-frequented by elephant, buffaloes, and lion.

It is also adjacent to the border of the Kruger National Park and situated at the intersection of two rivers.

Facilities include running water and a toilet, but no braai area
No charge or booking required

Elephant Pan Hide

One of the most picturesque spots in Ingwelala, Elephant Pan Hide is situated next to the Shlaralumi River on Argyle. It overlooks a waterhole in a shady grove.

This is leopard country, and the perfect place to sit with a book, waiting for the animals to come to you.

It has running water and a toilet
No charge or booking required

Bird Hide

Situated at the North-West corner of Argyle, Bird Hide has a large water hole, and is frequented by giraffe, a variety of buck and, as its name suggests, spectacular bird life.

There is no toilet or running water
No charge or booking required

Guided Walks

A bush walk gives our members the opportunity to get up close to a variety of game as well as learn more about their instincts, behaviour and tracks. Participants will also gain knowledge on birds, and different types of grass and trees.

Maximum number of people in a group: 12. No children under the age of 12.

Cost: R295,00 - per person

There are a number of other sites with tables and benches on the reserve.
