Ingwelala ("The place where the leopard sleeps") is a privately owned shareblock nature reserve situated approximately 65 km from Hoedspruit in the heart of the Umbabat Private Nature Reserve, and borders the unfenced Kruger National Park and Timbavati Private Nature Reserve.

The Ingwelala group of companies includes the following:

  • Argyle – 1 499 ha registered as Ingwelala Shareblock(Pty) Ltd
  • Buffelsbed – 1 018 ha registered as Buffelsbed Shareblock (Pty) Ltd
  • Goedehoop – 372 ha registered as Op Goedehoop No.25 (Pty) Ltd
  • Sibon – 257 ha registered as Sibon Property Holdings (Pty) Ltd

Rich with wildlife, Ingwelala offers a unique opportunity to share an unspoiled piece of Africa, a natural paradise just hours from busy city life.

Experience the excitement of game drives in open vehicles at all times of the day or night, and the pleasure of sundowners at a waterhole.  Round off your day with a braai deep in the bush at one of our bomas. Game can also be viewed from a variety of hides. Besides the thrill of being in Big Five country, there is a wide variety of antelope, nocturnal animals and over 230 species of birds - more than half the species found in South Africa.

When not out traversing the reserve, members are welcome to use a variety of communal facilities including a swimming pool, tennis courts, a shop, and library.

Please browse through the site to find out more about the wonderful opportunities, services and amenities that Ingwelala offers. It's worth your time!
